Sho'Larna wears skins and sandles whenever possible, but after painful experience, she now often wears leather armour and boots. To her friends' surprise, she occasionally wears nice dresses as well.

Sho'Larna never used to care how she looked, but recently this has changed. She won't admit it, but it's kinda nice having guys look at you.

She enjoyed a happy and comfortable life on the family farm, situated on the outskirts of the town. Her family were middle class and well respected members of the community.

Her father, Ra'Loth, was the only Beastmaster in the village. He was happily married to Sa'Kenna, who was also the mother of his two other children.

Jo'parth, as older brother to a tomboy, sometimes got a little annoyed at Sho'Larna who always seemed to be hanging around. Over the years, as well as being brother and sister, they also became good friends. Jo'Parth was in his final year as an apprentice baker and cook, an occupation he chose because he was not as comfortable with animals as his father and sister. This decision was hard on his father as he had hoped that his only son would inherit his love of animals.

Sho'Larna also had a younger sister, Re'Leena. At nine years of age, she really managed to annoy her. She was a pain, just like Sho'Larna had been to Jo'Parth. Just as Sho'Larna had grown closer to Jo'Parth, in time, so would the two sisters.

Also part of the family was Ra'Loth's pet chimp, Bally.

As Ra'Loth was a farmer as well as a Beastmaster (raising dairy cattle, goats, chickens, pigs and lots of cats and a couple of dogs), animals have always been a part of the family's life. As the town's only Beastmaster, Ra'Loth was also the town vet.

Finding that she was more comfortable with animals than with most other Namegivers (family and close friends excepted), Sho'Larna became a Beastmaster Adept. Ra'Loth happily trained her.

The family worshipped the passion Jaspree - although Sho'Larna isn't very serious about it.

Due to her upbringing, Sho'Larna won't steal and will only lie if she really needs to (she's not very good at lying - either that, or her mother was psychic...) Sho'Larna has never killed a Namegiver, she would only do so if she or her companions were in grave danger. Sho'Larna would rather avoid violence.

As she is very shy around most people, Sho'Larna has never had a boyfriend. It isn't that she doesn't think they are interesting, but the cute ones never seem interested and she couldn't be bothered chasing.

Sho'Larna has quite a temper - when she blows, look out! Rather than thinking her actions through, she will sometimes let her temper do the talking. This has got her into quite a bit of trouble. Sho'Larna is very patient with animals and knows she should be more patient with Namegivers, but she has no time for arrogant or cruel people.

When she is comfortable with people, she has a wicked sense of humour. Sho'Larna is still rather innocent; in many ways she is still a kid.

The only sport Sho'Larna is interested in is ragball, which she absolutely loves. She especially likes beating up - err - beating the boys. Becoming a Beastmaster Adept has meant that she cannot play as often as she would like.

Sho'Larna knew Phargath since she was a child, as he was a friend of Jo'Parth. She tended to hang around them both and make a pain of herself (or so they said). This developed into tolerance and then friendship (but try to get them to admit this). Truth be known, she had a crush on Phargath (and had for years), but she will of course strenuously deny this. For all the angst that his comments sometimes gave her, she has really missed him since his death.

She has known Laz'Jen for her whole life as well. They are good friends, although at times they get annoyed with each other. When adventuring, Laz often rides in her backpack. She loves to tease him about his sleeping habits - the times he sleeps and with whom. Sho'Larna is really happy that Laz has found Serena. (She's really nice and after all that has happened to them, some good news was really welcome.)

After the destruction of Lindersville and the killing or abduction of her family, Sho'Larna has been forced to grow up very fast. This has been very hard for her, as a few people may have noticed. Although she was unable to tell him for a long time, she was very grateful that Phargath put up with her and also for saving her skin several times. She feels sorry and ashamed for the problems that her anger has caused the party. Sho'Larna has realised that to find her family, she first needs to survive and to do this she needs the help of her friends.

Sho'Larna can't understand why people need to act with so much violence and cruelty. For a long time after the attack on her home, she preferred the company of animals over Namegivers. She is now almost over this, but her tolerance for cruelty has become much lower. She is still trying to control her temper - with mixed successes.

Sho'Larna will not harm an animal unless it's for food or she has no choice. She won't use her Beastmaster skills for hunting.
