As with most of her niall, Jillari has emerald green scales, tipped off with black points at her extremities - crest, fingers, etc. Her throat is a yellow/green. Her family head crest is black, and noted by a single spike which forks at its end. Jillari has golden coloured eyes which look rather large for her delicate head.

Having being raised as a future upholder and law maker as lahala of her niall, Jillari has a high personal code which she sometimes tries to force on others. She has a knack for politics and law, both t'skrang and Theran, which she chose to study on the chance the Therans will return one day. (Know one's enemy!) Her one greatest fear is that of being trapped and because of this, she fled the restrictions of her niall.

The niall of T'syvany emerged from hibernation 100 years after the Scourge with a total of 45 members, all of which were adults. After 15 years and no clutches from their aging 3 females (and the total number of their council), the niall started to worry. Then an egg hatched, then another, and another. 12 years later, the first child entered kaissa (the change) and emerged a male. For the next 27 years, the niall held its collective breath as all of the next 12 hatchlings also developed into males. If the niall was to survive, they desperately needed new females.

Then, in the 42th year after emergence from hibernation, kaissa produced a female. She called herself Jillari, after the old male who had been her chaida (eggtender) and friend through her first 12 years of life. With their present lahala well over ninety and the 2 female elders now entering old age themselves (and beginning to slow down in laying), only the miracle of their incredible fertility (1 hatching in 90) and the appearance of this new female kept niall T'syvany's hopes alive.

After Jillari came more females, who soon began outnumbering the males passing through kaissa. The niall was saved for now. As the first female of the new generation, young Jillari was quickly taken onto the niall's council where she has sat ever since, but was soon joined by her two sisters a year later. But it was Jillari who recieved the attention of the elders. She would probably be the one to take the position of lahala in less than a score of years.

Jillari, an ever rebellious hatchling, grew to detest the expectations placed on her and that trait caused her to ask her eldest brother Keenal to teach her the way of the Swordmaster and she refused to take a husband. Though it is possible she is already a mother to some of the latest hatchlings, Jillari had no desire to be tied down that way just yet.

She is also very jealous of her eight younger sisters' freedom from the same responsibilities she has had to take on. Her rebellious nature finally won out and she has run away from her Foundation (at least for a few years) before possibly having to return and take her place as lahala. Till then, she will do anything to avoid having to return home.
